I’ve always tended to be an observer of the world around me.  Since childhood, I’ve had an interest in photography and at the age of 18, I bought my first serious camera.  I realized that taking pictures was not enough.  In college, I took some photography courses and started doing dark room work.  There, I had more control of the creative process.  Now, with Photoshop and high quality photographic printers the computer has become my darkroom.

In my profession as a physician I use the scientific method.  A key element of this involves observation.  I feel that these observation skills have helped me improve my photography.  Also, medicine is a stressful profession and photography is a healthful distraction from this stress.  I especially enjoy the peaceful aspect of nature photography.   However, I’ve come to realize that there are interesting images all around us, not just in nature.  On this website are some of my observations.  I hope these images will help convey to you my view of the world.
